Pesten is one of the more popular card games in Holland and is based on Mau Mau, one of the most well-known card games in the world. And there's a few good reasons for the great popularity - it has simple rules, it's easy to learn and it's a whole lot of fun!

Pesten is a card game for 2 to 5 players. Depending on how many players participate in a game, up to four decks of 52 cards are used. The aim of the game is to be the first to get rid of all of your cards. This is acheived by playing cards to the playing stack on the table. To play a card, it must have either the same suit or face value as the uppermost card on the playing stack. If you cannot play a card, you must draw a card from the drawing stack.
