Sugar! is a strategy game, in which two players play against one another. The playing field consists of a grid which measures 8 by 8 squares. The grid is full of stones bearing various symbols. In every move you make, you must switch the position of adjacent stones to form a horizontal or vertical row of three or more like symbols. Achieve this and the stones will disappear.
If a row of 4 or more like symbols is created a bomb appears, which will count down and explode, clearing all of the stones surrounding it. If a sequence of 5 like symbols is created, all of the other stones bearing this symbol will also disappear. If you set off a chain reaction with at least 4 sequences, 5 additional stones will disappear at random. For every stone removed from the game you receive 5 points. A hint costs 50 points. The player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner.
